Security - Is The Mobile Safe?

Telecoms Special Features
It all began when F-Secure, one of the leading mobile security firms, alerted users that mobile manufacturers were not doing enough to keep malware off the mobile.
Symbian hit back saying it was "doing exactly the right thing" and that the message from the security firms was and is, "overstated."
Here both Symbian and F-Secure state their respective positions and we have asked Computer Associates' VP of security, Simon Perry to have a look at the pair's responses and give us his view.
We are also very privileged to have Phil Zimmerman take part in this Security Special. The name Zimmerman is synonymous with encryption, and our reporter Alexander Harrowell put the great man through his paces on mobile security.
